Adjusting planting time of Binadhan-17 in boro season

Boro rice (grown in winter under irrigated condition) contributes to the major portion of production (over 50%) Bangladesh. Binadhan-17 is a green super developed by BINA which requires 30% less nitrogenous fertilizer and water grown aman season (primely produced rainfed). Due it’s increasing popularity adoption growers are keen cultivate it boro also. Taking account above situation, two field trials were conducted at Magura during November 2019 May 2020 investigate effect variety, sowing dates their interaction. Factorial RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) was applied for experimentation. Two varieties: (V1), BRRI dhan58 (V2) three times: 30th (T1), 10th December (T2), 20th (T3) used as treatments. 35 days old seedlings transplanted main field. Relevant agronomic morphological data statistically analyzed through Statistix 10.0. Combined factors farm exposed that, T1×V1 required longest (159.33 days) mature. but, comparatively short life cycle (149.97 observed T3×V2. Maximum grain yielded (7.70 t/ha) T2×V1 minimum (5.74 treatment combination. Outcomes on station revealed needed more (158.00 mature; conversely, alike duration noted with T2×V2 (147.20 T3×V2 (145.43 matured quite earlier. highest yield (7.41 T1×V2 lowest (5.94 t/ha).
